Method

1. Place Group 1 ingredients in a machine bowl fitted with a paddle.
2. Mix for 1 minute at a slow speed. Do not overmix.
3. Scrape downsides of the bowl.
4. Add Group 2 and blend in at a slow speed for 1 minute. Do not overmix.
5. Deposit into a baking tin/tray, level off evenly.
6. Leave plain or top with Bakels Whole Glazed Red Cherries.
7. To finish decorating with almonds or a combination of unsalted nuts.
8. Bake at 165°C for approximately 70 minutes. If baked in a deep-sided baking tray, once cool cut into the desired size.
9. Glaze using Bakels Apricot Superglaze.
