RUSSIAN Slice is a quick to prepare premix from our Country Oven slice line, which requires only four added ingredients.
Simply bring a water butter blend to the boil, before adding the premix and soaked sultanas, to produce a slice with a delicious fruity, golden syrupy flavour.

1. Bring cake shortening and water to a boil.
2. Add Bakels Country Oven Russian Slice Mix and pre-soaked and drained sultanas.
3. Mix on slow speed until clear.
4. Spread out the mixture evenly onto a standard baking tray lined with paper on the base.
5. Bake at 190°C for approximately 28 minutes.
6. Allow cooled, cut into squares or fingers.
