Bakels Training School (Registered PTE)
Bakels Training School is NZQA registered and accredited to teach the New Zealand Certificate in Trade Baking with strands in Bread, Cake & Biscuit, Pastry, or Plant Levels 3 and 4.
In our latest External Evaluation and Review (EER), NZQA awarded Bakels Training School with the highest Category 1 rating, including 2 statements of confidence.

Training plans can be tailored to meet individual needs.
Training Tutors
Our highly trained and qualified tutors have a wealth of experience both commercially and as tutors. Their objective is to ensure all students realise all of their personal potential and provide maximum value to their bakeries.
Bakels training facilities
Three purpose built baking training facilities are located in Auckland, Palmerston North and Christchurch. They are fully equipped to provide comprehensive coverage on all aspects of baking.
Enrolment criteria:
- Students must be a New Zealand resident OR hold a current working visa of no less than 2 years.
- Students must be currently employed 30+ hours per week in a New Zealand bakery.
- Students must be over 16 years at time of enrolment.
- We are unable to accept enrolments from international students.
